Experience

5 years experience providing rehabilitation support services within the community including: interviewing clients and obtaining case histories and background information, observing and documenting clients’ relevant skill strengths and deficits, assisting clients to develop rehabilitation goals, assisting clients in locating and utilizing community resources, liaising with rehabilitation team members, discussing issues pertinent to clients’ rehabilitation plan, providing crisis intervention, coordinating and organizing community services, implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a regulated healthcare professional, assisting in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans by tracking clients’ changes and responses to interventions.

Experience related to the rehabilitation of individuals with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injury and soft tissue injuries.

Proficient in assisting with the identification and utilization of assistive devices equipment for clients.

Skilled in monitoring return to work programs, assistive device training and treatment programs.
