We provide a full range of bilingual vocational rehabilitation programs and services in a variety of settings in Eastern Ontario. Customized to meet the specific needs of each employee and employer, our co-ordinated, time-limited and cost-effective programs and services are designed to help each client achieve a successful and enduring return to work.
Our vocational programs and services
Our team of more than 20 clinicians includes Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellors, Registered Nurses, Speech-Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Job Coaches. We provide services at home, in the community, in our own clinic and in workplace settings. Our services include:
- Analyzing the client’s transferable skills
- Analyzing a job’s physical and cognitive demands
- Assessing the workplace environment and recommending and implementing ergonomic improvements that will enhance employee health, safety and productivity
- Cognitive and work conditioning to help the client gain and practice skills and build endurance
- Volunteer placements to help the client gain workplace experience
- Return-to-work planning, implementation, monitoring and documentation
- Work placements, including on-the-job training
- Building job search and resume preparation skills
- Analyzing the labour market, including identifying employment and occupation trends
- Job coaching

We design and provide comprehensive, goal-oriented, proactive and effective trans-disciplinary vocational rehabilitation programs based on:
- Standardized assessments
- Customized services that meet the client’s specific needs at various stages of recovery
- Standardized measures of progress
- Team goal setting
- Regular communication to maximize effectiveness and identify issues
- Quality assurance measures
Every TRAC Group client’s file is reviewed monthly by our Program Co-ordinator, who has 15 years’ experience in nursing and 12 years’ experience in community rehabilitation. The Program Co-ordinator makes sure program protocols are followed and rehabilitation plans are working as they should be. |
